Weekend results

The 1s returned to winning ways this weekend but dropped catches made life difficult! 3 wickets each for JNS & Robo. (we are aware that the scorecard for this game is up the shoot we will correct shortly). A calm innings from Joe took the urgency out.

The 2s also won, making light work of Warlingham with 3 wickets for Bilal & a hat-trick for Umakant as we rolled them over for 75. BJ & Ajmal the not out batsman was they won by 9 wickets.

The 3s took a young & fairly inexperienced side to Chessington where they came up second as we could not set a competitive total having been asked to bat first on a tacky wicket. Only 4 scores in double figures and one of those was extras! A very good bowling & fielding display particularly from colts Ryan, Massimo and Adam Oliver who shared the 4 wickets & made life difficult. Shaun Griffith also bowled well. It took Chessington until the 34 over to knock the runs off.

Sunday saw the home side give Ashford a working over with Ryan again in the wickets. A rare duck for JNS but Jake 62* and Rob 51* took us over the line in 20 overs!

Don’t have the scorecard for the away side but Kingstonian had a couple of first teamers playing which made it a bit of a miss-match. Dave Castor & Mark Palmer bowled well & Dharamvir Puri scored a well measured 50.
