HHCC Presidents Day – Sunday, 5th August 2012

Dear members and friends,

I am writing to invite you to Hampton Hill Cricket Club’s Annual President’s Day, taking place in Bushy Park this Sunday (5th August). Fingers have been crossed for some time in the hope of some warm sunshine on the day.   This is my first year as President, but having spent 30 years as a member of the club, I know that this is one of the most important days in the club’s calendar. I have managed to cobble together a side of “has beens , wannabees , and hopefully, willbees  to play a 50 over game against the Club XI captained by Sunday Ist XI skipper , Gareth Powell .

Under the expert guidance of my wife, Nikki, there will be the usual, marvellous President’s Day lunch, for players and guests alike from around 1pm, together with a licensed bar from 11am.

With the help of my fellow KWIK cricket coaches, Ian Exworth and John Marrinan,   there will be a special treat during the lunch interval.  Our KWIK cricketers, ranging in age from 5 to 9 years, will be demonstrating their skills for all the guests. A chance to see the future stars of HHCC, Middlesex and who knows, maybe even England.

As I have said , this is an important day in the Club’s calendar and I hope many of you will be able to attend  at some point during the day. All are welcome. Members ,  Friends of HHCC , young and old, to be part of an event that I believe shows what Hampton Hill Cricket Club is all abou

Thank you,  Nikki and I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.
