After two-and-a-half years of planning, negotiating, designing and fundraising, Hampton Hill Cricket Club are proud to announce that their new pavilion will be open this weekend.
The first match to use the new facility in full will be the first Fullers Surrey League match of the 2013 season, with HHCC’s 1st XI taking on Horley CC. The game will start at 1.30pm on Saturday and Rob Fullicks’ team warmed up for the new league season with a convincing six wicket win over Wallington in the League Cup last week.
On Sunday, a Club XI will take on The Vagabonds, a team of ex-HHCC players. The club will be open from 10am for the usual Colts training and Kwik Cricket sessions with the game starting at 2pm.
The club would like to thank all those who have contributed to The Phoenix Fund over the last two and a half years and all those who have helped to put us in the position we are in today. It’s been a wonderful community effort and we look forward to welcoming you to the new pavilion in due course.
The finishing touches were being added to the new pavilion on Thursday and the last of the portakabins took the aerial route out of the park, early on Friday morning.
