Eel Pie Island challenge raises over £600

Congratulations to Colt’s Parent Paul Webb and Trent Phillips who, on Friday 14th Sept, managed to row around Eel Pie Island 24 times raising money for the Phoenix Fund. Despite the windy conditions, blisters, school crews and the occasional WW2 Torpedo boat, they managed to row the 24 odd miles in just under 7 hours, and have raised over £600 for the Fund. Club President, Dave Mackinney, was on shore to greet the intrepid oarsmen armed with 2 well-earned pints, together with colleagues from Richmond Council who cheered them throughout the day. A fantastic effort … You can still sponsor the boys at http://www.justgiving.com/Paul-webb3
