Bill Carr

It is with great sadness that Hampton Hill CC has to announce the passing of another of our stalwarts, Bill Carr, who passed away peacefully on September 27th with his wife Angela and sons Russell, Warren and Justin in attendance.

Many of you would have only known Bill as the father of Warren Carr,  but he was a great player in his own right, playing for HHCC (and Teddington Town for a couple of years) throughout the 60s /70s and 80s, captaining the sides during many of these years. Many of our older generation would have played alongside him, and would remember him as a fearsome bowler and batsman.

The funeral will take place at the South West London Crematorium, Hanworth, on Friday 16 October at 12.00pm with a celebration of his life at the Club afterwards.

For those wishing to attend, can you please contact Dave Mackinney (david.mackinney@bnymellon.com or d.mackinney@sky.com) to confirm your attendance so the family can have an idea on numbers

Donations can be made to their chosen charity,  Alzheimer’s Society either online via the Funeral Directors website http://www.gskeates.co.uk/ (following links to Make a Donation in the name of William Carr), or send to the club  at the address below and we will coordinate a donation from the membership. Contact Dave Mackinney again for details.

Cheques , payable to either Alzheimer’s Society or HHCC, sent to
