2012 Dinner Dance Review

The club held its annual dinner and dance last Saturday at Hampton Court Palace Golf Club. The event was a great success with nearly 80 members and guests attending.

Following a three-course meal, chairman Nally Fernando proposed a toast to Club President, Dave Mackinney and thanked all those who had contributed to the 2012 season. In particular, he thanked Kevin Rice and the re-build committee for their continued hard work which had resulted in the start of the building project. In response, Dave Mackinney stated that although the new pavilion was underway, the fundraising effort needed to continue in order to fit out the building to the highest possible standards. The chairman and president presented the club awards (a full list is attached). With the formalities over, dancing to the live band continued till 1am. Thanks are due to June and Derek Powell for organising the event this year.
